I didn't have that problem with mine. Typically when I get a bottle of beer that seems to be over carbonated, the beer will turn out to be beyond its recommended shelf life. I would assume that your bottle came from the 2010 batch, which means it should have been within the specified date range, but there is a possibility that it could have been from a previous batch. The flavor was great, but the beer was so overcarbonated that the minute that I opened it, it acted like champagne. Everytime I poured it, and I have poured many in my days, I got 3/4 glass of pure head and lost a good bit down the kitchen drain. Check your quality control please.
